Phonak EON is a rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aid that uses dedicated AI processing to separate speech from noise, now in a smaller and lighter form than previous Sphere models.

Phonak EON is the newest platform in the Audéo Sphere line, and its main achievement is fitting the speech-in-noise processing that made Sphere well regarded into a noticeably smaller and lighter shell. The platform is organized around three ideas: adaptive clarity in difficult environments, broad connectivity, and a design that gets out of your way. It fits a wide range of hearing loss, from mild all the way through profound.
EON keeps a separate AI chip dedicated entirely to processing speech in noise, so difficult listening situations get computational power that is not competing with the device's other tasks. The new Hypersonic chip does this work more efficiently than the previous generation, which is part of how the device got smaller.
EON is a strong fit if your hardest listening happens in noise: restaurants, meetings, family gatherings, and busy social settings are exactly what the Spheric Speech Clarity processing targets. It is also well suited to people who spend time outdoors or regularly deal with wind, thanks to WindBlock 2.0, and to anyone who streams calls, music, or television throughout the day.
Because the speech-in-noise technology now reaches three performance levels instead of two, there is more room to match the device to your budget without giving up the core benefit. The platform fits mild through profound hearing loss, and the Audéo R EON can be paired with the CROS R transmitter for patients with single-sided deafness.
On the practical side, the rechargeable battery provides more than all-day power, up to roughly 22 hours even with demanding use that includes streaming and noisy environments, and charges fully in about 2.5 hours. An optional portable charger with its own built-in battery is available for time away from home.
The performance figures above come from Phonak's own testing and represent what is possible under favorable conditions, not a guarantee for every wearer. What EON actually delivers for you depends on your hearing, your listening environments, and a careful fitting. At our Columbia, SC clinic, our audiologists test your hearing, discuss where you struggle most, and verify the fitting so the technology performs the way it should in your daily life.
